Among his friends, Blaze is best know for his shenanigans. For those who ever performed with him or have discovered him on recommendation of others, he is known for his astute songwriting skills and Merle Travis picking style. Blaze was born into a family of gospel singers, a trio of angelic voices who shared their talents at home with their friends and congregations in churches and revivals. No doubt his upbringing was an early influence on his beautiful, baritone voice.

Texas Ghost Writers Music (903-681-1944) controls all the publishing rights for compositions written by Blaze Foley. Steve Wells' website contains a set of lyrics, some with chords. As such, they are interpretations only and are provided only for private, noncommercial use. (Blaze's music is listed with BMI). The following is a short listing of songs on Steve's site. For a more Fuller listing, you may want to search his site.
